Mission Statement: Our Mission at Adams Hill is to guide our students toward academic, emotional, and social success.
I began my journey as a principal in July 2021, serving as Principal of Locke Hill Elementary before joining the Adams Hill community. Prior to becoming a principal, I served as the Associate Principal of Carson Elementary for six years and as a teacher at Esparza Elementary for ten years. During my time in the classroom, I taught kindergarten, second, and third grade.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and attended Northside ISD schools for elementary and middle school. I come from a family of educators. My mother is a retired NISD teacher, and my brother is a high school teacher in Southwest ISD. I have a true passion for working with elementary students and value the opportunity to build positive relationships with our students, families, and staff.
I am excited to be part of the Adams Hill community and look forward to building upon the great things that make our school such a special place. If I can ever be of service, please donโt hesitate to reach out.
The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at maria-gabriela.jimenez@nisd.net or by phone at 210-397-1415.
I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M-Kingsville University.
I have been at several Northside schools where I've had the opportunity to teach 3rd grade for many years and have been a Math Specialist too. I have now been a vice principal for over 7 years at Adams Hill Elementary.
Some of my hobbies include: traveling, watching funny movies, and spending time with my family and friends.
I can't wait to meet you!
