Principal of Cable Elementary, Debra Piñon
Debra Piñon - Principal
Greetings Parents and Families of Cable Elementary,

My name is Debra Piñon and it is my privilege and honor to serve as the Principal of Cable Elementary. I am excited to establish a strong learning culture with our community of learners and families and I look forward to an exciting time of learning and growing with our students. I am also delighted to be working with our fabulous professional faculty/staff and you, our parents and community members.

I have had the honor to serve Northside as a teacher and I have served as an administrator for the last 16 years. I began my teaching career in the fall of 1990 as a third grade teacher with North East Independent School District. After moving to Northside ISD, I taught for several years in first, second, third and fourth grade classrooms. My administrative experience has been shaped by three years of successful leadership as the Vice Principal and seven years as the Principal of Hatchett Elementary. Four years ago, I was bestowed the privilege of opening Herbert G. Boldt Elementary. This task was truly a labor of love. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to Cable Elementary.

My greatest initiative is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment that will provide differentiated instruction to all and meet the needs of each individual student. The instructional program will be academically challenging, engaging for each student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experience, and at a level, that promotes further exploration of new and challenging ideas.

I anticipate a most successful year as our faculty/staff and I support the academic, social and emotional growth of your child here at Cable Elementary.

As Principal, my door will always be open and I welcome your involvement at Cable Elementary. Please feel free to stop in to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best school ever!
I look forward to working with all of you as we work towards establishing an academically successful elementary school!

Welcome to the Vice Principal’s page!

My name is Jessica Garza and I am so honored to be a Cable Cub! I have had a great journey in education since 2001. In Northside ISD, I have taught fourth grade at Powell Elementary and third grade and Campus Instructional Technologist at Shirley J. Howsman Elementary. In 2013, in its inaugural year, I was appointed as Vice Principal at Kay Franklin Elementary. In 2019, I was honored to move to Cable Elementary as Vice Principal.

I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Biology. Later I received a Master’s degree in Integrated Technology from Walden University. This degree was earned through a PAVE grant that was offered through a partnership with NISD and Walden University. Finally in 2010, I earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Go Runners! Needless to say, education plays an important part in my life and those around me.

At Cable Elementary we strive to keep our school safe, keep our students motivated and keep the best interests of the child at heart. We are committed to encouraging students to meet high expectations and in turn max out their true potential.

I encourage you to contact me at anytime if you have questions, concerns, or comments.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
