I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned a Bachelorโs degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Biology. Later, I received a Masterโs degree in Integrated Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. This degree was earned through a PAVE grant that was offered through a partnership with NISD and Walden University. Finally in 2010, I earned a Masterโs degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Go Runners! Needless to say, education plays an important part in my life and those around me.
At Lieck Elementary, we strive to maintain a safe school environment, challenge our students with high levels of motivation and engagement and keep the best interests of the whole child at heart.
I encourage you to contact me at any time if you have questions, concerns, or comments.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our school pages..
Respectfully,
Jessica Garza, Principal

My name is Amy Perez, and I am proud and honored to serve as the Associate Principal of Edmund Lieck Elementary. My career in education began in 2006, and throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of teaching Kinder through Fifth grades, as a grade level and STEM teacher. Lieck has been an important part of my professional journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the students, staff, and families of our wonderful school community.
As an educator and school leader, I believe that strong relationships are at the heart of a successful school. I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and excited to learn. I also believe in supporting and empowering our teachers while building meaningful partnerships with families to help every child reach their fullest potential.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or celebrations. Together, we can make each school year a wonderful and memorable experience for our Lieck Lions!
