Marissa Peña, EdD - Principal
It is my pleasure to serve as the Principal of Burke Elementary. I received my Bachelors Degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Masters at Texas State University, and Doctorate at The University of Texas at San Antonio. This is my 20th year in education, and most recently served as the Vice Principal at Burke. I have two children, Jacob and Ava, who are my world. We also have 3 dogs, a cockatiel, and a guinea pig.
As Principal, my goal is to ensure that students feel both safe and loved while at school. Burke is an amazing place to be, and I'm so happy to be a part of this community.


Es un placer para mí servir como director de la escuela primaria Burke. Recibí mi licenciatura en la Universidad de Texas en Austin, mi maestría en la Universidad Estatal de Texas y mi doctorado en la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio. Este es mi vigésimo año en la educación, y más recientemente serví como el Vice Director en Burke. Tengo dos hijos, Jacob y Ava, que son mi mundo. También tenemos 3 perros, una cacatúa y una cobaya.

Hello Burke families! My name is Frank Ogo, and I am excited and honored to serve as the Associate Principal at Burke Elementary.

I truly believe that when families and schools work together, students thrive. My goal is to help create a safe, welcoming, and positive school where every child feels valued and supported. I enjoy being visible around campus, visiting classrooms, and getting to know our students and families. I am always happy to listen, help problem-solve, and support what is best for kids.

Outside of school, I am a proud husband and father of twins, and family means everything to me. I understand how important it is to feel confident that your child is cared for and encouraged each day. I look forward to partnering with you and working together to make Burke a great place for all of our students.
