The Office of Leadership Development was created to build a pipeline of effective school principals. According to the Wallace Foundation, school leadership is second only to teaching among school related factors in its impact on student learning. High quality principals are vital to the effectiveness of our nation’s public schools.
Northside leaders receive a continuum of leadership development services through multiple professional learning opportunities. From the Northside Leadership Academy (NLA) for teachers aspiring to be campus leaders, to the NISD Principal Prep Program (P3) for future principals, to the ABLE Mentoring Program for first-year principals, to Leadership Coaching for novice principals, the Leadership Development staff strives to provide high-quality, job-embedded professional learning for all stages of leadership growth.
