Library Programming
Battle of the Bluebonnets
3rd-5th grade students can participate in our Battle of the Bluebonnets. Students join teams of 4, and they each choose which of the 20 award winning books they will read on the current Texas Bluebonnet reading list. Our teams will compete at a campus level and the winning team will move on to compete at the district level. Students have the opportunity to advance to the city wide competition in Spring 2026.
Guardians of the Library
3rd-5th graders can volunteer their time to help the librarian in the library. Students will shelve books, shelf read, assist and support classmates and other students with book exchanges, and lead by example.
Monthly Library Challenges
Students will have the opportunity to challenge themselves by trying out a new resource, create a reading goal, and participate in "Book Tasting's" for special incentives.
Texas Bluebonnet Voting
Students in 3rd-5th grade who have read 5 books on the current Texas Bluebonnet list can vote in January!
