2026 Spring Clubs at Leon Valley Elementary School
Get ready to get creative! Art Club is officially back, and it’s the perfect place for young artists to explore their imagination, try new materials, and make something totally unique.
We’re all about having fun, making a mess (the good kind!), and seeing where our ideas take us.
First Project: Fun with Pottery!
We are kicking off our first few weeks by getting our hands dirty with Pottery. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of squishing real clay and turning it into something amazing!
In our first sessions, students will learn:
- The "Pinch" Method: Turning a ball of clay into a bowl or a creature.
- Texturing: Using stamps and tools to add cool patterns.
- Glazing: Adding bright colors to make our masterpieces shine.
No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity

Spotlight on Oracy: Dual Language Club
Unleash the power of your voice! This enrichment club uses the art of theatre and script-reading to bridge the gap between language learning and confident communication. Whether we are diving into English or Spanish, our focus is on oracy—the ability to express yourself fluently and effectively.
By stepping into the shoes of diverse characters, students will:
- Expand Vocabulary: Discover rich, contextual language that goes far beyond a textbook.
- Master Pronunciation: Practice the rhythm, intonation, and nuances of a new language through active performance.
- Build Confidence: Conquer the fear of public speaking in a supportive, creative environment.
From classical scenes to modern dialogues, we use the script as a map to navigate new cultures and words. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to speak up!
