Luna Middle School principal Lisa Richard
Lisa Richard - Principal
Lisa Richard began her career in Midland, Texas as an English teacher at San Jacinto Jr. High School. She moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area and taught speech, English, and debate at Irving High School. In 2000, she moved to San Antonio where she taught theater and journalism at Stinson Middle School in Northside Independent School District. In 2004, she opened Luna Middle School as the Assistant Principal. In 2008, she was named Vice Principal at Rawlinson Middle School. After four and a half years at Rawlinson, she was named Vice Principal at Zachry Middle School. In 2014, Ms. Richard was named Principal at Luna Middle School where she began her career in administration.

Ms. Richard received her Bachelor’s degree from Lubbock Christian College and her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas in San Antonio.

In her free time, Ms. Richard loves traveling to the coast to fish. Ms. Richard has three sons who make her a proud mother.

After moving to San Antonio from Corpus Christi, Leticia Chapa began her teaching career in 2008 with Northside I.S.D. at H. B. Zachry Middle School and taught for the next 9 years. In 2017, she was chosen to participate in the Northside Leadership Academy and served as both Intervention Specialist and Administrator Intern for Northside at Sul Ross Middle School. Ms. Chapa served the W. B. Jefferson community as Assistant Principal for four years before becoming the Gregory Luna Middle School Associate Principal.

Ms. Chapa received her Bachelor’s of Science In Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M San Antonio and a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

    Assistant Principal

    I am honored to serve the students and community as the Assistant Principal of Luna Middle School. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. 

    My goal this year is to develop relationships with students, staff, and community members to ensure academic growth through consistent communication and progress monitoring.

    Carrie Moix began her teaching career in Canton, Missouri teaching 4th grade and coaching junior high girls basketball.  After teaching elementary for three years, she decided to transition to 7th and 8th grade Social Studies.  For the next seven years, Ms. Moix taught US History and World Geography to all 7th and 8th grade students at Canton R-V.  During that time she also coached varsity girls basketball and golf, along with being the  co-athletic director. 

    In the summer of 2007, MS. Moix moved to San Antonio and opened Wallace B. Jefferson Middle School.  There she taught US History and AVID.  Ms. Moix also coached volleyball, basketball and track.  In February of 2017, MS. Moix was named the Northside Educator of the year, as a Social Studies coordinator and US History teacher at John Folks Middle School.   In addition, Ms. Moix has served the Northside community, as the Middle School Social Studies Specialist, Academic Dean at Bernal Middle School, and the Secondary Leadership Development Specialists

    Ms. Moix received her Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary education from Culver-Stockton College, a Master's in Educational Administration from William Woods University, and a Texas Administrator Certification from Texas A&M Kingsville.
