Cheer squads win big at NCA Nationals

Congratulations to our high school cheerleading squads for their accomplishments at this year's National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) National Championships in Dallas. 

The squads from Brennan, Harlan, and Marshall high schools brought home national championships.

2nd place – Small Intermediate Varsity Game Performance Division – Best Tumbling

1st place – National Champions – Small Intermediate Non-Tumbling Game Day Performance – Best Use of Jumps

2nd place – Small Intermediate Division – Best Use of Stunts and Superior Showmanship

Clark

3rd place – Small Novice Division – Best Use of Jumps

 

Harlan

1st place – National Champions – Large Novice Varsity Game Day Performance Division – Superior Showmanship and Best Use of Stunts

Holmes

4th place – Small Intermediate Non-Tumbling Game Performance Division – Superior Showmanship

Jay

5th place –Small Intermediate Non-Tumbling Varsity Game Performance 

Marshall

1st place – National Champions – Small Novice Varsity Game Performance – Best Use of Tumbling

O’Connor

3rd place –Intermediate Large Performance Division – Best Use of Jumps

Stevens

2nd place – Intermediate Large Non-Tumbling Game Performance

Taft

The Raiders were the only NISD cheer squad to attend the UIL Spirit State Championships in Fort Worth. They earned 38th place out of 73 squads in 6A Division 1.
