Northside ISD continues to enforce its “No Shots, No School” policy. Texas law requires all public school children have current immunizations in order to attend class.

Katherine Lyssy
Katherine Lyssy - Principal
Katherine Lyssy began her teaching career in 1997. She came to Northside in 2000 to open Raba Elementary as a second grade teacher. In 2002, she moved to Rayburn Middle School as the Gifted and Talented Teacher. During her seven years at Rayburn, she served as Assistant Principal, Vice-Principal, and Academic Dean. 2009 brought the opportunity to open a new middle school as Academic Dean. She served the Hector Garcia community for three and a half years. In December of 2012, she was named the Principal of E.M. Pease Middle School.

Mrs. Lyssy received her bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio (1997) and in 2000, she earned her Masters in Educational Administration from Schreiner University.

She and her husband Kyle have two children, Logan and Sydney. Her family grew in January 2020 with the addition of her first grandchild, Hayden Michael Lyssy!
Lynda DeSutter
Lynda DeSutter - Vice Principal

The Vice-Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator.

My name is Lynda DeSutter and I am honored to serve as the Vice Principal at Pease Middle School. 2019/2020 is my 24th year in Education and 1st year as Vice Principal at Pease. Go Bulldogs! Prior to Pease, I was the Science Coordinator at Northside's Chavez Excel Academy.

Originally, I am from the Rio Grande Valley, where I taught middle school science in Rio Grande City and McAllen (my hometown). I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from UTPA in Edinburg and a Master's in Educational Leadership from UTSA - Go Roadrunners!

Dr. Mark Lopez
Dr. Mark Lopez - Academic Dean
I am so lucky to be the Academic Dean at Pease!!!

My goal here at Pease is to provide each teacher and student with a high level of education everyday. I am a product of Northside, having attended Elementary, Middle and High school all in Northside schools. I have had the honor of serving in education for 14 years. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree. I also obtained my PhD from Our Lady of the Lake University.
