Migdalia Powers Principal at Steubing
Migdalia Powers - Principal
I am Migdalia Powers, proud principal of Henry Steubing Elementary. I started my career in education at a neighboring school district and taught 3rd and 4th grade for seven years. During that time I earned my M.A. in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I joined Northside ISD in 2010 and taught 5th grade at Hoffmann Elementary School. I then served as a 5th grade teacher at Mireles Elementary when it opened in 2011. Four years later, I took on a new role as the Vice Principal at Mireles. I accomplished my goal of becoming a principal in 2019 here at Steubing!

It’s been a joy serving at Steubing. I truly stand behind our mission: At Steubing, we provide a welcoming and encouraging environment where all students are challenged by quality instruction and high expectations, so they can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
Please don’t hesitate to call, email, or come in and visit. We truly believe that collaborating and partnering with our parents and community will enhance our students’ education.
Go Stallions!

We have a beautiful group of diverse learners from all over the world here at Steubing, and I enjoy learning with and from them every day. I’m passionate about the work that I get to do and look forward to another fabulous year.
