S.N.A.G. is an acronym for Starting New At Golf which is the equipment and curriculum we follow for our Boldt golf club. The goal of our program is to introduce and expose third grade children to the sport of golf. One of the best reasons to get your child, son or daughter involved with golf is to introduce them to a game of honor and integrity that can be played for a lifetime!
Our golf program will be designed to provide our children with specific skills and rules that insure that participants are introduced to golf in an enjoyable manner.
All students who are selected will take part in the decorum of the game. There is an unspoken etiquette that most golf courses have a dress code to play golf. All club members are required to wear a collared Boldt golf club polo shirt that is tucked in during practices. Students should wear this polo shirt on Wednesdays. The only fee associated with this golf club is the purchase of the shirt.
Our program will be comprised of short discussion of golf concepts and demonstration of golf skills using “modeling” techniques and activity based learning. We will have 2 sponsors, Coach Mireles and a parent volunteer from the community.
Due to equipment availability, we will accept applications for the program. Applications will then be selected by random lottery draw. The first 10 applications drawn will be eligible for the Fall Semester and the next 10 drawn will be drawn for the Spring Semester
