  • Space-science related curriculum as an after-school program
  • focus changes yearly
  • training will be held in late September each year
  • 8 lessons—these can be done weekly, monthly, etc. The schedule is decided by the campus.
  • Stargazing Night—a district-wide event held at Ward ES the last Friday night in February for fifth grade Young Astronauts

Tax Rate Notice
This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
