Erika Gilmore
Erika Gilmore - Principal
My name is Erika Gilmore and I am proud to be the new Principal of Aue Elementary! I am beginning my 27th year as an educator and have had the great privilege of teaching and leading at various schools. This school will forever hold a special place in my heart because of the families, students, community and staff that I get to work alongside every single day. As an educator my commitment to all students, parents and staff is to provide a safe, fun, highly engaging learning environment that allows all students to learn at high levels.

My husband and I have 4 wonderful children! We love to spend time together as a family and enjoy outdoor activities, shopping, family game nights, and celebrating each other!

I am very excited to work with a new team, students and families this school year and am eager to meet all of you! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need any support!

My name is Kimberly Twedt and I am thrilled to be the Associate Principal at Aue ES. It is such an honor to work with such incredible students, parents, staff and community! At Aue we are committed to cultivating a dynamic learning experience so that every student grows in confidence, compassion, collaboration, and critical thinking.

I am originally from Minnesota, but Texas has been my home for over 30 years. I graduated from Minnesota State University with a degree in Elementary Education and Spanish. I earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership in 2009. I started my career teaching elementary school and after 17 years, moved to middle school to teach 6th grade English. Most recently I served as the Academic Dean at Rawlinson MS. I am looking forward to circling back to my elementary roots as Aue’s Associate Principal!

Spending time with my family, traveling, and reading are some of my favorite things to do outside of school. Students have always been at the heart of my work. Each child’s success and well-being are important to me. I look forward to working and collaborating together to make this a great year! Please feel free to reach out to me any time at kimberly.twedt@nisd.net or at (210) 397-6765.
