Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through a research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities, and running games. Over the course of the ten week program, girls in 3rd through 5th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness.  The program culminates with girls positively impacting their community through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event. Girls on the Run has been a part of the Beard Elementary campus since 2015.


Tax Rate Notice
This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
