Art Club

  • Description: Help students build their academic resume through community service and leadership opportunities. We will also be a support team to help with academics and expose students to real-world skills and opportunities. Students who are not in the AVID elective can still join the club if they are interested; they just need a teacher recommendation.

Battle of the Books Club

  • Description: The Battle of the Books tournament, which will be held on March 24, 2027, is a competition among middle schools to determine which team best knows 20 selected award-winning books. The list includes ten novels from the Lone Star list and ten graphic novels from the Maverick list. Each school sends one team of four students (and one alternate, who will serve as a scorekeeper) to compete in a three-round tournament by identifying the books that match the provided questions.

  • Description: Students can learn and play a variety of popular card games while building positive relationships with their peers. The club provides students with a fun and inclusive environment to meet new people, practice communication and teamwork, and connect with others through friendly games.
    Objectives: 
    • Teach students the rules and strategies of a variety of popular card games.
    • Provide opportunities for students to meet and connect with peers who share similar interests.
    • Encourage positive social interaction, communication, and teamwork.
    • Promote good sportsmanship, patience, and respectful competition.

  • Description: Christian Girls of Grace Club (C.G.G.C) is a place young girls can come and be with like-minded young ladies. It is not easy being a young girl today, let alone a young Christian girl who loves Jesus. Our program aims to build up girls of integrity through service to our school community and the surrounding community.

Creative Minds (Creative Writing)

  • Description: Our club aims to publish a book featuring original stories, poems, comics, songs, memoirs, letters of interest, and illustrations. The club is a safe space for anyone who wants to explore their creative side and enjoy time getting to know other creative and unique individuals. Not ready to put pen to paper…not everyone is, but that’s no reason not to join and share your ideas. Collaboration is welcome! It’s a great way to get your feet wet and learn to let your imagination flow freely.

Tax Rate Notice
This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.
Northside Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.05 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.00.
