Julie Meneses
Julie Meneses - Principal
I am truly honored to serve as the Principal of Bonnie Ellison Elementary! It is a privilege and a blessing to lead a school community that I have been a part of since the day we first opened our doors in 2014. Now in my 8th year as Principal, I remain deeply committed to building meaningful relationships with our students, families, and staff while ensuring every child receives the highest quality instruction tailored to their unique needs.

Before joining the Northside family, I studied Bilingual Education at UTSA and began my career as a bilingual teacher in a neighboring district. While teaching third and fourth grade, I pursued a degree in Educational Leadership, which led to my role as a Bilingual & ESL Facilitator. In that position, I had the opportunity to work with students and teachers from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade—an experience that shaped my deep commitment to instructional excellence and student success.

In 2014, I had the pleasure of joining Northside as a proud Ellison BEE, teaching fifth grade. After one year in the classroom, I was blessed with the opportunity to serve this incredible community as Vice Principal. Two years later, I became Principal—truly a dream come true! Now, after eight years in this role, my passion for supporting students and educators continues to grow.

My leadership style is hands-on and solution-driven, always focused on what is best for students. I am passionate about fostering a collaborative and innovative school culture where educators feel empowered, families feel valued, and students thrive. I firmly believe that when we lead with love, humility, and hard work, we create an environment where great things happen for kids. At Ellison, our mission is clear—students come first every day. Our vision is that every day, every student will grow as compassionate, innovative leaders.

Please don’t hesitate to stop by our hive to say hello or reach out with any questions or concerns. My door is always open, and I look forward to working together to make this year extraordinary!
