Yvette Lopez began her career in Northside ISD in 1999 as a special education teacher at William P. Hobby Middle School. In 2004 she moved to open Rawlinson Middle School as a collaborative special education teacher. In 2008 she took on the role of an NISD Behavior Specialist where she supported elementary and middle school campuses district-wide. In 2013 Mrs. Lopez was named Assistant Principal of the new NISD middle school, Dr. John Folks Middle School. In October of 2016, Mrs. Lopez was named the Vice Principal of Dr. Folks Middle School. As the Vice Principal, Mrs. Lopez consistently collaborates with parents, staff, and students to ensure a safe educational environment.
Mrs. Lopez received her Bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
In her free time, Mrs. Lopez loves spending time traveling with her husband, daughters and two Australian Shepherds.
