Principles of Applied Engineering (9-10) #8700

This course provides an overview of the various fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and their interrelationships. Working on design teams, students will use multiple computer hardware and software applications to conduct research, design and create projects, and present ideas related to biotechnology, electronics, robotics, and automation. Students will use appropriate tools and demonstrate safe work habits.

Foundations of Energy (9-12) #8593

(Freshman who completed Principles of Applied Engineering in the 8th grade are APPROVED to enroll in this LEVEL 2 course in the 9th grade)

This course provides the fundamentals of Texas energy resources from conventional, unconventional, and renewable sources. Students develop skills regarding career and educational opportunities in the production, transmission, and use of energy in Texas, including import and export markets for energy.
