UTA My Way series.  On Tuesday April 13th, from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. we will present UTA My Way in honor of our Latinx students.

The event is open to all incoming freshman and transfer students and features guests who will share their perspectives on the University’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity. We are particularly proud to welcome UTA’s Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Dr. Maria Martinez-Cosio, to provide an overview on UTA’s designation as a Hispanic Serving Institution and ongoing initiatives that help us better serve our LatinX and Hispanic students. 

UTA My Way will also feature an address by distinguished UTA alumnus Ray Casas, Director of Community Impact for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club and a presentation by Dr. Ignacio Ruiz, Interim Chair for UTA’s Department of Modern Languages. The event will then offer information sessions with our Admissions and Financial Aid offices and a panel discussion with Latinx student leaders from the University. ATPE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION- Deadline: April 27, 2021.

The Northside 20 Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) will make scholarships available in the amount of $500. Six $500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who will be attending a college or a university.

All awards will be presented at the school of the scholarship recipient winners. The scholarships are nonrenewable.

Eligibility:    This scholarship is open to all 2020/2021 high school graduating students in Northside I.S.D. This scholarship is also open to graduating students from other school districts who have parents/guardians that are employees of Northside I.S.D.

SAT Fall Testing

Registration is now open for the fall SAT test administrations

All students can register for the November or December SAT administration at this time. To accommodate students who were impacted by recent cancellations, we offered a weeklong priority registration for August, September, and October administrations to the following groups:

Students who registered for June SAT or SAT Subject Tests™ and didn't cancel their registrations

Students in the class of 2021 without a test score

ACT Testing Amid COVID-19-

UIW’s SAT or ACT Test Optional due to Covid 19

UIW is now offering students the option to interview and submit documents, in place of taking the SAT or ACT. They would interview  a UIW Admission Counselor.

These are the following documents we would need from them:

-          Resume

-          Letter of Recommendation

-          Personal Statement (Why they want to attend UIW)

-          Successful Interview

We hope this will help give students  the chance at getting accepted into UIW. Again, only students who have NOT taken the SAT or ACT test and those students who scored below an 800 SAT or 14 ACT. Call (210) 805-2542 for more information.
