STEM Education in Northside ISD
Northside ISD’s STEM Education program provides students with hands-on, real-world learning experiences that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through inquiry-based instruction, problem solving, and design thinking, students develop critical thinking and collaboration skills that prepare them for future academic and career success.
At the elementary level, each campus has a dedicated STEM lab where students participate in activities and design challenges that spark curiosity and creativity using knowledge from classroom instruction and tied to a variety of STEM careers.

STEM Education at Wernli ES
S.T.E.M. education integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics into creative problem solving. Students are introduced to the Engineering Design Process to plan, revise, and rethink challenges that may have multiple solutions. Efforts that are not successful are encouraged as they lead to understanding how modification of plans is necessary to arrive at a more efficient product. Personal independence as well as interpersonal skills are nurtured to round out the student as a whole.
