My name is Jessica Lundquist and I am proud to be the Principal at Carlos Coon Elementary.
I earned my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin in 2011. My other experiences as an educator for the past 13 years include being a Math Specialist, Instructional Coach, Curriculum Trainer, and classroom teacher. As an educator, I strive to create a learning community that creates the greatest impact on students and their academic success. I believe in having high expectations for all students and helping instill in them a love of learning and perseverance.
I hope to continue the legacy of building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. Together, I know we will have an incredible year!
The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator.
Hello Carlos Coon Family! It is a privilege and honor to serve as your Associate Principal. I am a native of San Antonio and a proud product of NISD! I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I married my high school sweetheart and we have an amazing son together. For the past 18 years I have been an educator in NISD, with 15 of those years as a 5th grade Bilingual teacher and the rest as a Math Specialist.
It is my goal to create an environment where all students feel supported and valued. I believe that every student should be given the opportunity to acquire the life-long knowledge and skills needed, in order to make great contributions to their community and wherever life takes them. I am positive that our koalas will be successful! Si, Se Puede! Thank you for entrusting us with your child. If you have any questions or need any assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. I am here to serve you!
