I earned my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas Permian Basin in 2011 and am currently a member of the UTSA cohort pursuing my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.
Throughout my experience in elementary education, I have served in a variety of roles, including Associate Principal, Math Specialist, Instructional Coach, Curriculum Trainer, and classroom teacher. These experiences have shaped my strong commitment to instructional leadership, with a focus on improving teaching practices to ensure high levels of student achievement.
I believe deeply in servant leadership and in building a collaborative learning community where both students and staff are supported to reach their fullest potential. I hold high expectations for all students and am dedicated to fostering a culture that promotes perseverance, a love of learning, and meaningful academic growth.
I hope to continue the legacy of building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. Working together, I know we will help our Koalas become successful learners and leaders!

"It is both a privilege and an honor to serve as your Associate Principal. I am a proud native of San Antonio and a product of Northside ISD. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Go Runners!
I am blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have an amazing son who inspires me every day. For the past 20 years, I have dedicated my career to NISD—15 years as a 5th grade Bilingual teacher, 3 years as a Math Specialist, and now as the proud Associate Principal of Carlos Coon Elementary.
My goal is to foster a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered. I believe all children deserve the opportunity to gain lifelong knowledge and skills that will allow them to thrive, contribute to their community, and succeed wherever life takes them. I know our Koalas are capable of incredible things—¡Sí, Se Puede!
