Northside ISD continues to enforce its “No Shots, No School” policy. Texas law requires all public school children have current immunizations in order to attend class.

Dr. Darrell Rice - Principal
Dr. Rice is an educator with 31 years of experience. He has served as a teacher, coach, and administrator at all levels in Texas public schools. Dr. Rice was appointed as Principal of NAHS in May 2013. He is a dedicated educator who continuously seeks to provide the best educational experience for all students. Dr. Rice believes that a quality education is the purpose for NAHS and is committed to making the NAHS the best DAEP High School in Texas. Dr. Rice also believes that all students can be successful and it is the goal at NAHS to provide a safe and structured environment, build student's self-esteem, and return students to their home campus with the tools they will need to be successful in school and life.

Venuz Gonzalez - Associate Principal

Venuz Gonzalez graduated from Business Careers High School and is a product of Northside ISD. She then earned a Bachelors and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington. She served at Northside ISD for ten years as an English teacher and Academic Support teacher. Her philosophy of education is based on the concept of growth. Students need to grow academically, socially and behaviorally. An education does not allow a person to stagnate; it lifts him to better situations in life. Education allows students to better themselves, and it is Ms. Gonzalez’s passion to help students recognize these opportunities for growth. NAHS provides students with a supportive and academically challenging learning environment that promotes life-long learners.
