I'm Tequila Dupree, and I'm thrilled to serve the NAHS campus as your Associate Principal.
I bring a wealth of experience to this role, both from within education and from my previous career. For several years, I had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Principal, working side-by-side with our Principal, Ms. Gonzaba. This experience provided me with extensive knowledge in campus leadership and community support.
My commitment to students and staff started long before I stepped into administration. I dedicated many years to teaching Special Education and English Language Arts, as well as serving as the English Level Lead at Anson Jones Middle School. I also served as a Student Success Advisor at Holmes High School, where I focused on helping students overcome challenges and thrive, including mentoring novice teachers and developing other leadership opportunities on campus.
Before entering the field of education, I worked in Mental Health as a Recreational Therapist. This background, coupled with my experience teaching Adult Education, has equipped me with unique skills in student well-being, community engagement, and supporting the diverse needs of families.
I am eager to build a bright future at NAHS and look forward to partnering with our NAHS families, teachers, and the broader community to support every student's success.
