Jackie Horras graduated with a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University, earned her master’s degree from Texas State University, and obtained her superintendent certification from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 1991 she began her career in education as an NISD English teacher. From there, she moved to a leadership position as the principal of Health Careers High School and later found her home when she was appointed principal of O’Connor High School in February of 2010. Mrs. Horras strives to focus on growth and continuous campus improvement by empowering her staff to do what is best for each and every student. Over the past twenty-two years in administration, Mrs. Horras has inspired countless teachers and students.

Mr. Christian began his career in Northside as a special education teacher at Rayburn Middle School. He transitioned to administration in 2013, becoming an assistant principal at O’Connor High School. Later, he was appointed vice principal at O’Connor High School in 2019. Mr. Christian believes that all students deserve a safe, positive atmosphere where they can strive to be their best.
