Mrs. Paul grew up in San Antonio and attended schools in the Northside Independent School District, graduating from Holmes High School. She received her undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in Elementary Education with a specialization in reading. Mrs. Paul earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Mrs. Paul views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students. She believes partnerships with parents and community partners are essential to enriching the experience at Powell Elementary.
During her free time, Mrs. Paul enjoys reading, walking her dogs, running, crafting and spending time with family.

from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary
Education from the University of Texas, Austin. Ms. Hibshman holds
professional educator certifications in Educational Leadership, School
Principal, and Elementary Education.
Ms. Hibshman worked thirteen years in Marietta, Georgia as an Early
Intervention Specialist, and three years and Instructional Lead Teacher
at Eastvalley Elementary School.
In 2004 Ms. Hibshman moved to San Antonio where she was appointed
Vice Principal at Lawrence Powell Elementary School where she
continues her focus on the academic success for every student, in every
classroom, every day.
